While playing college football, Eric Legrand suffered a paralyzing injury that fractured his C3 and C4 cervical vertebrae. He takes us back to the moment the hit occurred, and what it was like to lay powerless on a field in which he was usually the most powerful.
This week Jay sits down with former Rutgers University defensive tackle, Eric LeGrand. During the 2010 College Football season, Eric suffered a paralyzing injury that fractured his C3 and C4 cervical vertebrae. He takes us back to the moment the hit occurred, and what it was like to lay powerless on a field in which he was usually the most powerful. We hear about the support that his coach, team, and entire community gave him to help fight through his injury. He explains how his journey has led him to where he is now with his new business, LeGrand coffee, and how he continues to give back and inspire those who have suffered through catastrophic spinal injuries.
